
Prior to joining SBM-ITB in 2006, Deddy was a Research Fellow at the Center for Computational Finance and Economics Agents (CCFEA) at the University of Essex, UK. He spent three years working for energy services industries before pursuing graduate studies.
Deddy's research interests are Agent Based Computational Economics (ACE), Modelling of Artificial and Adaptive Economic Agents, Simulations, Applied Microeconomics, Industrial Organization, Market Design, and Financial Economics.
He has been involved in several international infrastructure research projects, including an electricity market restructuring project funded in part by the National Science Foundation and The Los Alamos National Laboratory, and a project focusing on the design of Smart Market Protocol for Road Transportation funded by the UK Foresight Intelligent Infrastructure Systems Project. Deddy also consulted for World Bank, Islamic Development Bank, Indonesia's National Agency for Planning and Development (BAPPENAS), Ministry of Finance, and several private companies.
Deddy refereed several international journals including Computational Economics, IEEE Transactions on Evolutionary Computation, and Topical Workshop on Agent-Based Computational Modeling, serving as Editorial Board of Journal Manajemen Teknologi, and acting as Board of Expert in MBA ITB's Business Review MBA ITB.
Deddy Koesrindartoto is an Assistant Professor at the ITB School of Business and Management. He is an Economist by training, received a Ph.D. in Economics with a minor in Statistics, and an MSc. in Industrial Engineering, all from Iowa State University. He also earned a first degree in Electrical Engineering from ITB, Bandung.
